 Le Nid is a lovely old stone-walled country house with a total of 4 apartments of varying sizes Three of these apartments are to be found in the large main house and one in the renovated stables, which forms a separate wing of the house. Two other rooms with ensuite bathrooms can be rented as bed and breakfast accommodation, one in the stables wing, the other in the small owner's house to be found on the property.


 

Main House

The main house with a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms is ideal for renting in its entirety for a family reunion, a club or a group of friends, and will accommodate 11 adults comfortably. Guests are assured of their privacy as the entire back garden (ca. 25m x 25m) is reserved for the exclusive use of guests in the main house.

The main house can be easily divided into 3 separate apartments:

This is our largest apartment (90 m2) and is on two levels. Two large rooms, both with beamed ceilings, stone floors and open fireplaces are on the ground floor. One is the family kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and a table and tableware for up to 20 people, TV/DVD and the other the sitting room. In between the two rooms is a bathroom with bath, washbasin and toilet. Both rooms have doors giving directly onto the garden. Upstairs via a broad stone staircase, shared by another apartment, is a private entrance to a hallway and the two bedrooms, Mésange Charbonniere and Troglodyte Mignon (translated Great Tit and Wren !). They each accommodate two people and include an ensuite bathroom in between, with shower, washbasin and toilet.

At the top of the stone staircase, you will find Le Pinson, a charming spacious two room apartment (60 m2). The living room has ceiling beams, wooden floors, and is fitted out as well with two comfortable sofa-beds. Past the separate kitchen, equipped with 2 burners, fridge and oven/microwave, is a hallway off which the separate bedroom with twin beds, a large bathroom with double washbasins and a shower and a separate toilet can be found. Guests of Le Pinson have their own patio on the ground floor.

La Chouette (Little Owl)

La Chouette (Little Owl)This is a roomy studio (30 m2) on the main floor with private entrance. It has a small kitchenette, equipped with 2 electric burners, fridge and mini-oven, and an ensuite bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. A large double bed and single sofa-bed sleep 3 comfortably while the living section of the room is equipped with table, comfortable chairs and double doors to the patio and garden.

The Stables

The fourth apartment is found on the second floor of the stable wing, which gives onto a grassy, walled courtyard . An artist's studio and an apartment for up to 7 people have been made here, and are each accessed by private staircases:

This roomy apartment has high beamed ceilings and wooden floors. The main floor space has a living and dining area, a well-equipped open kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer and 4 gas burners, a bathroom with toilet and washbasin, and a partitioned bedroom with double bed and sofabed. A staircase leads to a loft room where two beds will accommodate another 2 guests, suited to the smaller version. Garden furniture and parasol for this apartment are in the front courtyard.

Rouge Queue (Redstart)Approximately 32 m2.

This large room adjacent to l'Hirondelle has the same beamed ceilings and wooden floors. With its double bed and separate sofa-bed it will sleep 3 adults comfortably. It has an ensuite bathroom , toilet and washbasin. This room can be rented in combination with L'Hirondelle to make an apt. for 4-7 p. but is also available for Bed and Breakfast during the summer.

In the small labourer's house on the property we offer B & B year-round in the room Bergeronnette as well as in Rouge Queue described above. Breakfast is taken in the owner's house or garden which is separate from the rest of the property. These two rooms are often useful for renting in addition to the other apartments to accommodate visiting friends or family.

Bergeronnette (Wagtail)This room (15m2) with its small balcony can be reached via a private staircase from the front garden and has beamed ceilings, old tiled floors, ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin and a double bed for 2 people.

  • Each apartment has its own parasol and garden furniture, use of barbecues, games (badminton, table soccer, table tennis, etc.) shared pool (10 x 5) and washing machine (€ 2.50/wash).
  • Pool and garden receive daily maintenance.
